Today's Answer - Classical Consequences
One chilly Venice day in the winter of 1813, Rossini was at work on his opera Signor Bruschino. Heβd just put the finishing touches to a duet when the manuscript slipped from his grasp and wafted to the floor. In an attempt to retrieve it he thrust his arm under the bed, but to no avail β it was out of reach. What happened next?
Μύ
Rather than getting out of the bed and retrieving the manuscript, he wrote it all out again... (Rossini was renowned for being rather lazy and for indulging his passion for fine food).
