The Symphony of Medinah
5 live and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic recreate the amazing day when Europe overcame the USA in the Ryder Cup at Medinah, in a special broadcast combining golf commentary with live music.
In September 2012, the 39th Ryder Cup took place at the Medinah Country Club in Illinois. At the start of the final day's play, the US led 10-6 and only required 4 1/2 points to win; Europe required 8 points to retain the cup and 8 1/2 to win it outright. What happened that day created history and was acknowledged as one of sport's greatest ever comebacks.
With the help of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic and a live audience, 5 live recreates that amazing day in a unique live broadcast that combines epic golfing action, live music and audience interaction.
