Gloucestershire
Food programme exploring specialities from around Britain. Brian and Janet visit Gloucestershire to explore culinary secrets of some of the UK's oldest woodland.
Brian Turner and Janet Street-Porter bring a taste of Britain to Gloucestershire in this episode. After setting off from Crickley Hill, the intrepid pair meet up with a local barefoot forager to explore the culinary secrets of some of the UK's oldest woodland. After some serious tree hugging, another opportunity to walk through the Cotswolds countryside is presented in the form of the Holst Walk, following in the footsteps of one of Britain's best-loved composers.
Chef Will Greenstock at the Horse and Groom prepares a dish for Janet under Brian's watchful eye, before Janet learns about the unique geological history that makes the Cotswolds landscape so beautiful. Some very happy Gloucester Old Spot pigs at Todenham Manor Farm are next on the agenda, and the farm is also the location for the celebration cook - pork of course!
