Gypsy will run at The Chichester Festival Theatre from 6th October to 8th November
Harry Lloyd
Every actor's "rites of passage" is to star in a Dostoyevsky play but not all of them get to adapt it. Harry Lloyd hasn't made it easy on himself as it's a monologue "Notes From Underground" which opens the newly adapted cinema/theatre "The Coronet".
"Notes From Underground" runs from 6th October to 1st November and is the Print Room's inaugural season at The Coronet.

Thomas Magill
As museums go, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park near Wakefield is pretty special – five hundred acres of outstanding countryside peppered with pieces of contemporary art from the likes of Henry Moore, Martin Creed and Tracey Emin – all set amongst a herd of some Friesian cattle and some very relaxed looking sheep.
With such unique surroundings it’s perhaps little wonder it won the prestigious Museum of the Year award earlier this year.
Since winning visitor numbers have soared and our arts correspondent Thomas Magill was one of those recent visitors to the venue.
Fiona Banner’s exhibition WP WP WP is on at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park until the 4th January.

White Crocodile by K.T.Medina pub by Faber
Thriller set in Cambodia dealing with murder and corruption in a humanitarian mine clearance charity. It's very gripping and suspenseful, with strong characters and a really good 'whodunit' element. The main character goes to Cambodia to search for her ex-husband, disbelieving reports that he's been killed in a mine-clearing accident, and instead uncovers a sordid conspiracy of human trafficking and embezzlement.
Mr Mac and Me by Esther Freud pub by Bloomsbury
In 1914 Charles Rennie Mackintosh stayed on the Suffolk Coast, but the year ended in disaster for the artist when he was arrested and imprisoned under suspicion of being a German spy. This is a fictional account of this time as seen through the eyes of a young boy, Thomas, who becomes fascinated by the mysterious Scotsman. When war breaks out, and the town starts to fill up with regiments of soldiers on their way to the front, the locals start to view the artist with suspicion, and his unlikely friendship with Thomas comes under threat.

Maggot Moon by Sally Gardner pub by Hot Key Books
This is Fatherland meets The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. It's set in an alternate 1950s Britain ruled by The Motherland. Disappearances and public executions are commonplace and there is an all pervading atmosphere of fear and oppression. Our narrator is Standish Treadwell, a teenage boy who due to his dyslexia has been wrongly dismissed as stupid by his superiors and is continually underestimated by them. When his only friend disappears, Standish investigates and uncovers a secret behind the Motherland's plans to be the first to land a man on the Moon which could change everything.
