Proms Inspire Young Composers Competition

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms 2014

The prize-winning entries from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms Inspire Young Composers' Competition for composers aged 12-18, judged by a panel including Judith Weir and Anna Meredith.

Now in its sixteenth year, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms Inspire Young Composers' competition offers composers aged 12 to 18 the opportunity to hear their works played by professionals at the prize-winners' concert, as well as receiving a much sought-after Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ commission. We'll hear the six winning entries, judged by a panel including composers Judith Weir and Anna Meredith, along with extracts from the highly commended pieces.

JUNIOR CATEGORY (12 - 16 YEARS OLD):
Harry Castle - La Trahison des Images
Rob Durnin - Study in Anarchy
Matthew Jackson - Mirror Mirror

SENIOR CATEGORY (17 - 18 YEARS OLD):
Nathaniel Coxon - Two Cells
Anna Disley-Simpson - Underneath
Harry Johnstone - Dis-Pulsed.
