After a 7 year absence Comedian returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with his new stand up show Man in a Suit.Ìý During the nineties Skinner, along with comedy partner David Baddiel, was one of the figureheads of the loaded generation but in recent years he has adopted a milder persona, reflected in Man in a Suit, tackling such subjects as growing old, fame and relationships - with a few haikus thrown in!

Skinner is no stranger to the Edinburgh Festival.Ìý He first visited the city in 1987 as an unknown would-be stand up, but it was in 1991 that he broke through, winning the coveted Perrier Comedy Award.Ìý He has since gone on to have his own chat show on national television, written 2 autobiographies, starred in the West End as well as perform his stand up shows to sell out audiences across the country.

Comedian, actress, therapist and writer Pamela Stephenson Connolly is in Edinburgh with the world premiere of hot dancing sensation .Ìý Written and produced by Stephenson Connolly and directed by Arlene Phillips, Brazouka tells the true story of dancer Braz Dos Santos and his journey from the tough streets of Brazil to international dance stardom.

Stephenson Connolly is no stranger to dance having performed as a child with London’s Festival Ballet but it was her more recent appearance on the Â鶹ԼÅÄ’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2010 where her version of the Viennese Waltz scored 10 from all of the judges, which reignited her love of dance and led her to Brazouka.

Academy Award nominee Anne Archer makes her festival debut this year with a new play, The Trial of Jane Fonda.Ìý Written and directed by Terry Jastrow, the play focuses on a little known event that took place in Connecticut in 1988, when Fonda confronted a room full of hostile war Veterans intent on boycotting the filming of her new movie Stanley and Iris.ÌýÌý

Archer, who is most familiar to audiences as Michael Douglas’s wife in the film Fatal Attraction, plays an older and wiser Fonda, attempting to confront and repent for the mistakes of her youth.

Described by Nelson Mandela as 'South Africa's cultural ambassadors', the Grammy award winning choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo has been delivering exuberantly energetic performances around the globe for more than 50 years. Combining traditional Zulu musical styles with gospel music, they contrast powerful, passionate choruses with soft, soulful sweetness in quieter music. They have recorded with numerous artists including Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder and Dolly Parton. This year they are performing at the Edinburgh International Festivalin Inala – a celebration of the fusion of western and African cultures.

This year nearly 200 artists from New Zealand are performing at the Edinburgh Festivals as part of the NZ at Edinburgh season, including the country’s two leading Kapa Haka groups,Ìý

Mark is often referred to as Edinburgh’s highest achiever, in 2004 he performed his world famous 24 hour marathon show and in 2006 he interacted with audiences with a comedy-come-literary workshop with the aim of writing a novel by the end of August.Ìý This year he has 2 shows, Flaws and for a limited period the Comedywealth Games.

Originally from Canada but now based in London, is a comedian best known for his highly surreal and ever so slightly chaotic style of humour, mixing historical references with eclectic costumes and bizarre props.Ìý

This year audiences are invited to dive into the Tone Zone for life affirming comedy…of a sort.
