The topical faith show comes from the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, with live music from Steph Macleod and traditional Scottish folk group Capercaillie.

Clare Balding hosts a special Good Morning Sunday from 鶹Լ at the Quay for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. She'll be talking to athlete Christine Ohuruogu, the current 400 metres World Champion and holder of the British record for that distance. There'll be live music from Christian singer-songwriter Steph Macleod, and traditional Scottish folk group Capercaillie. Clare's faith guest is the Reverend Stuart MacQuarrie, Lead Chaplain for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. And in tribute to the World War One centenary commemorations, Clare will be joined by Pipe Major Scott Methven of The Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming.

Christine Ohuruogu

Christine Ohuruogu is one of the UK's most successful athletes. She's the current 400 metres World Champion, a titleshe won at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow in August 2013, when she also broke the long-standing British record for that distance. This makesherthe only British woman to have heldtwo World Championship titles. She's wonOlympic gold and silver medals, and took thegold medal for 400 metres at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. She's at Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games to compete for England as part of the 4 x 400 metres relay team.

Capercaillie

Capercaillie

Capercaillie is a band made up of traditional musicians from the west coast of Scotland who've been working together sincethe 1980s. Their style is to take traditional Gaelic songs and melodies and give them a modern twist using new production techniques and exquisite musicianship. They’ve brought Gaelic music and culture to the world stage and have sold over a million albums worldwide. Last year they celebrated 30 years together and released their album “At the Heart of it All”. Capercaillie is led byDonald Shaw and Karen Matheson.

Steph Macleod

Steph Macleod is a Christian singer-songwriter who was once a promising classical guitar student at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Personal problems in his teenage years led to mental health issues and Steph found sanctuary in alcohol and drugs. In 2006, Steph found himself living inaChristian-run hostel for homeless menwhere he found thetreatment and support that enabled him to overcome his addictions.

The Reverend Stuart MacQuarrie is lead chaplain for Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, and alsoleads the chaplaincy team at the University of Glasgow.

Pipe Major Scott Methven of the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming will be talking about the role of pipers in the Scottish regiments during World War One, and will demonstrate some of the most iconic pieces of music from the time.
