Craig Charles' 50th Birthday Celebrations
Craig celebrates his 50th birthday with the ultimate funk and soul top 50 countdown, taking you on a musical journey from 1964 through to the present day.
Tonight we celebrate Craig's 50 Birthday with the ultimate funk & Soul 'Top 50' countdown. Craig was immersed in funk & soul from an early age, as one of his earliest memories was of his mother and father dancing in the kitchen to 'Ray Charles - I've Got A Women' on the wireless. He's one of the longest serving DJ's on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 6 Music and when he's not pounding the cobbles in Corrie or in outer space on Red Dwarf he can be found DJ'ing funk in clubs around the UK. Tonight he'll take you on a musical journey, starting off in 1964, all the way through to 2014 with the pivotal tracks that have inspired him. And it wouldn't be a party without plenty of surprise well-wishers popping by to wish Craig a Happy 50th!
