Gary Verity, Chief Executive, Welcome to Yorkshire
Gary is the chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire (the county’s tourist board) and the man behind the bid for the opening two stages of the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire.Ìý Claire goes to meet him on his farm where he tells her about the ‘Grand Depart’, why he brought the Tour de France committee to his farm and how his faith kept him going as the commitee delibereated on whether Yorkshire was a suitable place to start the race.

Connie meets Rod Ismay, the organiser of bell ringing for Le Grand Depart. Rod has organised for churches along the route to ring their bells as the race goes past. Connie also tries her hand at bell ringing under the guidance of Otley Tower captain Meg.
ÌýThe Corr Family
The Corr family are a Catholic family from Essex who answered our request for a Christian family to follow for 6 weeks this summer. Mum Sam, Dad Martin, twin daughters Sophie & Charlotte and their sister Aimee meet us at the Redbridge Cycling Centre where we give them their own Tour de France challenge which aims to test their faith and give us an insight into what it is like being a Christian in 21st century Britain.
