The Air That I Breathe

Johnnie Walker is joined in conversation by Allan Clarke, lead singer with The Hollies in the decade. Email walker@bbc.co.uk with your requests.

Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Warren Zevon, The Who and Wild Cherry.

This week he's joined in conversation by Allan Clarke, lead singer of The Hollies in the decade. A founder member of the group, he was with the group for the success in the sixties but left in 1971 to start a solo career. The success of the track Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress brought him back in 1973, but he continued to release his own music throughout the decade as well as performing with the group. Together with Johnnie he'll cover the success of The Hollies as well as how it felt to go it alone.

Also on the show, Johnnie will revisit a moment from the decade courtesy of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ archive and another classic seven-inch single will be added into Johnnie's Jukebox.
