Martin Carthy and Eliza Carthy interview
An hour of the best folk and acoustic music from Britain and beyond. With Martin and Eliza Carthy in conversation.
An hour of the best folk and acoustic music from Britain and beyond.
This week, Mark speaks to Martin and Eliza Carthy about their new work as duo. The pair - Martin a legend of English folk and Eliza one of its brightest stars for more than two decades - are releasing an album called The Moral of the Elephant on Topic Records.
Plus a chance to hear Sam Lee singing with a real nightingale in a Sussex thicket, new music from Blair Dunlop, a track from Show of Hands' new WWI centenary collaboration with actors Jim Carter and Imelda Staunton. There's also music from The Chair and Aoife O'Donovan as we look forward to meeting them at the Orkney Folk Festival next week.
