Johnnie revives the spirit of freeform American FM radio and plays artists nurtured by 'underground' stations.

Johnnie revives the spirit of freeform American radio heard in in the late '60s and the 1970s... and features some of the records played by DJs on the FM dial.

Tonight's show includes songs by Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, who both launched their careers in the States with impressive performances at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967. Other favourite FM album tracks come from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Carole King, Johnny Winter and The Edgar Winter Group.
