Louise White asks whether tougher action should be taken over sugary drinks.
Topic 1: ASTHMA
On World Asthma Day, a shocking report from the Royal College of Physicians has been released which shows that hundreds of asthma victims die needlessly. The RCP identified "major avoidable factors" in two thirds of asthma deaths they examined - figures which rose when they investigated the deaths of children. The damning report says that these deaths could have been prevented if medical staff and patients had been more aware of the condition and the NHS guidelines around them.
Louise asks: Are we too complacent about Asthma?
Topic 2: SUGAR
A survey for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ has found strong support for a ban on sugary drinks in schools. Of those asked, two thirds were in favour of the ban - and forty percent backed a tax on sugary drinks by the Government.
Louise asks: Do we need to get tougher on sugary drinks?
