Bob Harris throws open the doors of his music library for the latest programme in his 'Ultimate Playlist' - mixing personal favourites with influential tracks; reflecting not only Bob's life-long love affair with music but also his interest and knowledge in both its historical roots and contemporary influences.

Over the series, Bob brings together not only music from his nigh-on 45 years in radio, but he also makes connections across the decades and across musical genres, building a playlist of cornerstone releases that have helped shape the sound of music as we here it today. In an age where we like to neatly fit music into genres, this series will show how blurred the edges of those musical category boxes can actually be.
