Presenter Sally Magnusson interviews His Eminence, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, and leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales. She takes him back to St John Rigby College in Wigan where he began his work as a priest.

Retired Engineer Eric Foster was working at Golborne Colliery in 1975 when a gas explosion killed 10 miners. He shares his memories with Sally.

The community gather to process through the town in memory of the disaster and those who lost their lives.
