A lawyer representing alleged victims of the politician Sir Cyril Smith says they'll take legal action against the Lib Dems if it's proven the party knew and didn't act. Police are investigating claims that the former Rochdale MP - who died in 2010 aged 82 - repeatedly abused children during his 40 year career in politics. Also today, Birmingham City Council says 25 schools are now being investigated over allegations that hardline Islamists have been trying to take over in a plot known as Operation Trojan Horse: we speak to the council's chief executive.
