This week, the Hebridean singer, musician and broadcaster Julie Fowlis sits in for Mark. Her studio guest is upcoming Edinburgh singer Adam Holmes and his band The Embers.
23-year-old Adam is a former nominee in both the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 Young Folk Award and the Folk Awards who has received attention and praise for his mature songwriting and remarkable voice. His new album, Heirs and Graces, was produced by John Wood (Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, John Martyn) and Adam performs tracks from it on this week's show.
Plus Julie will be sharing some of her favourite folk tracks past and present.
