Edi Stark sits in

Edi Stark sits in for Janice and talks to stand-up mathematician Simon Pampena, plus Peter Ross discusses Scottish Dispatches and illustrator Bob Dewar talks about nostalgia.

As part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival, stand-up mathematician Simon Pampena will be bringing his unique brand of humour to audiences this month with shows like Mathemania and LOLgarithms. He shares his joy for numbers with Edi

Peter Ross's weekly articles from around Scotland have provided a piece-by-piece portrait of a nation as it changes and been a favourite of readers of Scotland on Sunday for years. Now a selection of the best are collected here, for the first time in Daunderlust: Dispatches from Unreported Scotland.

One of Scotland's best-known illustrators, Bob Dewar, takes a nostalgic look back at growing up in Scotland after the Second World War. Soor Plooms and Sair Knees is illustrated with over a hundred brush-and-ink drawings, the originals of which are on display throughout April at Edinburgh's Doubtfire Gallery.

It's the 25th anniversary of the Acid House dance scene. Chronicler of the scene and author of 'Acid House - a true story' Luke Bainbridge tells Edi about the significance of the genre.

And Edi continues her guide through the Scottish Colourists with Senior Curator at The National Galleries, Alice Strang. This time, they focus on the life and work of SJ Peploe.
