Armes Family
Nicki Chapman catches up with the Armes family, who were divided over the prospect of moving to New Zealand. One year after their trial week in Auckland, where are they now?
Teo Armes had always dreamt of emigrating, and was the driving force behind a potential move to New Zealand for his family. For wife Amanda, however, things weren't as straightforward. She struggled to come to terms with the thought of leaving her parents - and life - behind in the UK.
A year ago, the Armes spent a trial week living in Auckland. Amanda seemed to be won over by the lifestyle opportunities in New Zealand, but did they make the move to the other side of the world?

UPDATE: The Armes family
The Armes have been in NZ for over two years now and gained permanent residency. Work is going well for both Teo and Amanda and the children are thriving at school. Isabella has become an accomplished horse rider and Alfie’s playing representative football for the province of Taranaki. They have added a cat and dog to their family and although it hasn’t all been plain sailing Teo and Amanda can’t think of anywhere better to raise their children.
