Series in which families experience a trial week living in Australia or New Zealand. A mum is on a mission to persuade her son to move down under with the rest of her family.
Wendie Williamson has wanted to move her family to Australia for more than a decade. After going back to college and university to improve their chances of gaining a visa, both she and husband Peter believe the time's now right for a move.
However, the couple's 18-year-old son Sonny now has his own life in Hartlepool and doesn't want to move, but Wendie can't imagine leaving him behind. With just one week in Australia to try and change his mind, will Wendie succeed in keeping her family together, or face having to choose between her son and her long held dream?

Williamson family update
Upon returning to the UK, the Williamsons pushed ahead with plans to emigrate, and sold the family home. In mid January 2014, Wendie, Peter and Reece flew out to Australia to start a new life in Perth. Neither Wendy nor Peter had secured employment in advance of the move, but were confident of gaining jobs once they got there.Β Standing by his decision to remain in the UK, oldest son Sonny has moved into his own home in Hartlepool.Β Wendie is still hopeful that he might join them in the future. Look out for a Wanted Down Under Revisited episode featuring the family in February 2015.
