Mark Beaumont reports on the journey of the Queen's baton relay through the Commonwealth. Here, he charts its travels through the South Pacific.

The latest monthly update from adventurer Mark Beaumont as he travels with the Queen's Baton Relay on its journey to all seventy nations and territories of the Commonwealth. The baton, which contains a special message from Her Majesty the Queen, signals the final countdown to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July 2014. On Queen's Baton Relay - Welcome to the Commonwealth, Mark meets some of the Commonwealth's two billion citizens and will share in the cultures, history and experiences that make it unique. On this programme the Baton continues its journey through the exotic Pacific Islands and, among many encounters, Mark discovers the secret behind the formidable Samoan Rugby Sevens team and hears of their ambition for Glasgow 2014, he meets the island that's fuelling its economy and its tractors using oil from coconuts and he sails a traditional Polynesian ship off the coast of New Zealand.
