Good Morning Sunday with Clare Balding
Clare Balding hosts the topical faith show and chats to Debbie and Joni Sledge, of 1970s disco group Sister Sledge, plus topical chat and inspirational music.
Clare Balding hosts the topical faith show. Her guests this morning are Debbie and Joni Sledge of the 1970s disco group Sister Sledge, best known for their hits We Are Family and He's the Greatest Dancer, produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic. They tell Clare about the influence of faith on their upbringing, how they dealt with fame in their early 20s, and how religion has influenced their career choices. There's live music from Welsh singer-songwriter Al Lewis. Clare's faith guest is Canon Chris Chivers of John Keble Church in Mill Hill, who got to know Nelson Mandela in the 1990s when he served at the Anglican Cathedral in Cape Town.
