Louise White sits in

Louise White sits in for Kaye Adams and asks whether paternity leave is as important as maternity leave. And is enough being done to support carers?

Liberal Democrat equalities minister, Jo Swinson announced detailed plans yesterday, for new mums and dads to share a year of parental leave after the birth of a child. The proposals are for parents to share 12 months of leave after the birth of a child, with the aim of helping women return to the workplace and allowing men to have more involvement in caring for new babies.
Louise asks: Is Paternity leave as important as Maternity leave?

Also, it's Carers' Rights Day and new research from Carers Scotland shows that over 30,000 people across the country are missing out on Β£94 million of unclaimed Carer's Allowance, resulting in many of them getting into debt.
They say that 'record numbers' are missing out on the financial support due to a lack of advice.
Louise White asks: Do we do enough for carers? Call 0500 92 95 00 or text 80295.
