Oprah Winfrey is an American media owner, presenter, producer, philanthropist and actor. Oprah joins Jenni to discuss her latest role, as Gloria Gaines in The Butler; her memories of the civil rights movement in America; and to explain what drives her ambition and her give her view of power.

Chile's Presidential Election
The Chilean presidential election of 2013 will be held on Sunday 17 November 2013 and both the leading candidates are women.Michelle Bachelet & Evelyn Matthei share not only a present but a past. They were the daughters of air force generals who were once friends but ended up on opposite sides of the country's deep political divide. Now the women arecampaigning against each other. Jenni is joined byCarmen Sepúlveda, PhD Student at UCL’s Institute of the Americas and Alan Angell, Emeritus Fellow in Latin American Politics at St Antony’s College, Oxford University to look at the lives and politics of Michelle Bachelet & Evelyn Matthei.
Children in Need
Manchester’s two big professional orchestras have come up with a unique fundraising idea for this year’s Children in Need - an orchestral “battle of the sexes”. The 鶹Լ Philharmonic and The Halle divided themselves into two new orchestras; one all-male and the other all-female,and together with five male and five female singers they’ve recorded classical versions of two recent pop hits.The men recorded One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful woven into Verdi’s ‘Anvil Chorus’. And the women tackled Little Mix’s Wings combined with Wagner’s ‘Ride of the Valkyries’. Judy Merry went to the recording of the women’s track.
Soloists with Pudsey and Blush - R3 Girls L-R: Elizabeth Watts, Charlotte Trepess, Clara Mouriz, Kitty Whately, Ruby Hughes. R3 Boys L – R Benjamin Appl, Robin Tritschler, Tim Mead, Nick Pritchard, Jonathan McGovern. Five male soloists and five female soloists join Pudsey and Blush for 鶹Լ Radio 3's Ultimate Musical Battle for 鶹Լ Children in Need. The R3 Boys recorded a classical rearrangement of One Direction’s Makes You Beautiful meet Verdi’s Anvil Chorus with an all-male orchestra whilst the R3 Girls recorded a classical rearrangement of Little Mix’s Wings meets Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries.
