The Government has just announced plans for women prisoners to serve their sentences closer to their homes. The Ministry of Justice has said it is keen to keep women closer to their families as a way of cutting re-offending rates. So will it help? Jane talks to Vicky Pryce, author of Prisonomics: Behind Bars In Britain’s Failing Prisons, and to Conservative MP Margot James.
