Ben Moor is a writer and performer who uses words and wordplay in a way that both delights and unsettles. He performs an extract from his one man show, ‘Each of Us’, a story about love and friendship that asks ‘how do we decide who we want to be?’

Micheal Buffong is the Artistic Director of the Talawa theatre company. He has directed a new production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, with an all black cast starring Don Warrington as businessman Joe Keller, a man determined to keep his family together after the death of his son. Michael and Don discuss the joys of Arthur Miller’s muscular and rich language.

Emily Berry
Emily Berry’s debut poetry collection ‘Dear Boy’ (Faber) won the Felix Dennis Forward Prize for Best First Collection. Emily reads from ‘Dear Boy’ and she discusses the importance of space in poetry and tells us how the images in her poems leap around from mangoes to budgies.
Tom Hodgkinson And Gavin Pretor-Pinney
Tom Hodgkinson is the editor of The Idler and the author of ‘How to Be Idle’ and’ How to be Free’ (Penguin). Gavin Pretor-Pinney is the author of ‘The Wavewatcher’s Companion’ (Bloomsbury) and ‘The Cloudspotter’s Guide’ (Sceptre) Gavin co-founded The Idler with Tom, and is also the founder of The Cloud Appreciation Society. Tom and Gavin have written ‘The Ukulele Handbook’ (Bloomsbury), which is a guide to the history of the instrument, a song book, and a How To.  As well as playing for us, they give Ian McMillan a crash course in the ukulele.
