Episode 4
Detective inspector Fin MacLeod confronts the killer in the conclusion of the dramatisation of Peter May's bestselling crime novel.
Concluding episode of our drama serialisation of Peter May's bestselling crime novel set in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
Detective Inspector Fin MacLeod has returned to the Isle of Lewis, where he was born and raised, for the first time in twenty years. He's investigating a brutal murder with similarities to a case he's worked on in Edinburgh.
The killer's identity has been revealed and Fin fears that another life may be at risk. He has followed the murderer to the remote outcrop of An Sgeir, where the annual gannet hunt is taking place. But a storm is raging and the only way Fin can land is via a dinghy, launched from a trawler. As huge waves crash against the cliffs, Fin's own life hangs in the balance.
