Marvellous Midge Ure

Chris casts his eyes over optometry, considers the contentious matter of cake on a Monday, hears about Oompa Loompa-dressed dressage riders, and chats to the marvellous Midge Ure.

We're undergoing an update this week, so Chris is feeling some Bruce Monday magic as he inhabits Ken's super-spacious studio!

As this studio's different aspect leads to a brighter sunrise, we cast our eyes over optometry with Francesca Marchetti, Chair of National Eye Health Week.

We consider the contentious matter of cake - on a Monday morning! - but Chris hasn't got much of an appetite for those baked with carrots!

The most marvellous Midge Ure tells us how it feels to feature in history lessons. And that's because of his spoon-bending antics, in case anyone's muddling Midge with Uri Geller (that'd be silly, who'd do that?!)

9-year old Hannah updates us on champion, Oompa Loompa-dressed, dressage riders. And Today's Pause for Thought is delivered by the Rev Rob Gillion.
