Wingates Band at 140

Frank Renton celebrates 140 years of Wingates band with a specially recorded session conducted by their music director, Leigh Baker.

It was in 1873 that the elders of the Good Templars Lodge were horrified during their march through Westhoughton in Lancashire to see the band that they had hired lead the procession nip into the pub for a quick one, so formed their own Wingates Temperance Band. Frank Renton celebrates the bands 140th anniversary with a specially recorded session of music, conducted by their Music Director Leigh Baker.
