Christopher Trotter makes a selection of summer cordials from seasonal produce while Nicola Singleton explains how to protect your brassicas from cabbage white butterflies.

Chef Christopher Trotter joins The Kitchen Garden to cook live from the back garden of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ in Inverness. Making a selection of summer cordials and drinks from seasonal produce Christopher shows how to create an endless summer in a glass.

Trying to work out what to do with gluts from your vegetable patch or allotment can sometimes start to test even the most creative of cooks, Susan Reynolds and Lorna Crawford show how you can take gluts of almost anything and make them into appetising juice drinks.

The hot summer has led to an abundance of cabbage white butterflies. If you are a butterfly fan this is great news, but if you have an allotment full of brassicas then it could lead to the decimation of your crop. Gardening expert Nicola Singleton explains how to best protect your cabbage, cauliflower and kale from these fluttering piranhas.
