Janice Forsyth is at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ tent at the Edinburgh Festival, talking to Tim Price from I'm With the Band and Hamish Pirie, plus there is live music from Die Roten Punkte.
The Culture Studio's mid-week offering at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Blue Tent promises to brighten up your afternoon whether you're in the audience or listening on the radio. Janice Forsyth will be talking Tim Price and Hamish Pirie - the writer and director of 'I'm with the band'. The play follows the break-up of 'The Union' a band made up of a Scot and Northern Irishman as well as players from England and Wales. The cast of 'The Union' will be also be performing.
Irish comedian Mary Bourke will be joining Janice to talk about her shows at the Fringe - covering feminism, twitter followers and the wisdom of her Grandmother. Brother and sister punk-inde Berlin duo - Otto and Astrid who make up Die Roten Punkte will add a certain musical flavour to the proceedings, as will the late night hosts of Vegas Underground with their special guest Bob Anderson. We have a bit of a theme going with plays at the fringe featuring films and directors. Birdhouse - a surreal comedy horror follows the story of four women who shelter in a cinema during the final attack of the The Birds in Hitchcock's film and have been stuck there ever since, caught in a state of post-traumatic bird shock. And Kubrick Cubed follows the true story of failed businessman Alan Conway who pretended to be the film director Stanley Kubrick. Israeli born Australian singer-songwriter Lior will also perform for us.
