Mark presents his weekly folk and acoustic show, live from Salford.

His guest this week is the eminent English folk guitarist, singer and songwriter, Martin Simpson.

Martin, one of the world's finest acoustic guitar players, began his musical career in 1970. Over four decades he has toured extensively on both sides of the Atlantic, released more than 20 albums including collaborations with June Tabor and Wu Man, and received a number of accolades including four Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 Folk Awards.

Martin performs songs from his latest album, Vagrant Stanzas, which has been produced by Martin with Peter Denenberg and fellow Sheffield resident Richard Hawley.
