Tanya and Max put their faith in Lauren when she is invited to dinner by Peter, but their date soon takes a turn for the worse when Lucy puts her plan into action.
After discussing it with Tanya, Lauren texts Peter asking him to pick her up at 8pm then, in earshot of Joey, says she has a date. Max’s suspicious of Peter and instructs him not let Lauren drink, as does Tanya. Adamant Peter can’t cancel, Lucy downplays Lauren’s drinking problems. Lucy feigns ignorance when Joey mentions Lauren’s date. At dinner, Peter and Lauren get on well until Joey and Lucy arrive. Joey realises it’s not a co-incidence. Thrown, Lauren starts drinking vodka. Lauren presumes Lucy’s told Peter about her drinking, Peter reveals it was Max and Tanya and admits they asked him to take her out. Lauren becomes rowdy and storms out, heading to R&R. There, Joey’s ignoring Lucy and refuses to serve Lauren. Lauren drinks with a group of men before climbing into a taxi, dropping her handbag. Lucy’s concerned when she realises Lauren’s gone.
Carl moves in to the B&B. Bianca’s sympathetic when a contrite Carl admits he met Derek in prison and tells Carl all about Ian. Ian’s on edge all day. When Carl visits Kirsty in the Vic, she makes it clear there’s nothing for him - she’s married and pregnant. At Scarlett’s, Carl makes Ian confess to taking the £10,000 then proposes Ian pay him £500 a week for the foreseeable future. Kirsty confirms to Kat Carl’s bad news, admitting they were engaged. Bumping into Max and Kirsty, Carl insists Kirsty can’t avoid him forever, he’s not going anywhere.
Alfie’s devastated when Michael admits he told Tommy he’s his real father. Roxy comforts Alfie after he tells Tommy it’s true.
Sam refuses Kim’s offer of lunch and she later joins him in café. Via text message, Ava refuses to meet Sam and he calls her a coward. Later, avoiding Kim, Sam and Ava sneak up to Sam’s bedroom.
