Women in the Workplace Parliamentary Enquiry
Over the last six months, a cross-party parliamentary select committee has been scrutinising women’s progress in the workplace. They’ve been looking at whether the current legislation, meant to tackle inequality, is really working. The committee heard evidence from a broad range of witnesses including leading businesswomen, Government ministers, trade unions and business organisations - as well as from our Woman’s Hour listeners who’ve also submitted their own experiences as evidence. Adrian Bailey MP, chair of the Business, Innovation and Skills Committee joins Jane to reveal the findings of the “Women in the Workplace” report and explain what action the committee is calling on the government to make.
