She wrote with some notable composers including Jerome Kern, Jimmy McHugh, Sigmund Romberg, Harold Arlen and Arthur Schwartz. Her songs are among the best known of all time. 'I Can't Give you Anything But Love', 'The Sunny Side of the Street', 'The Way You Look Tonight' and 'Pick Yourself Up' among them. Her career spanned the decades. Her first big hit 'Sunny Side of the Street was written in 1930, while one of her last - 'Big Spender', written for 'Sweet Charity' with Cy Coleman - was written in 1968 ...
