Sir Michael Parkinson asks the question 'when and how do we decide on the music we love?' this week, as he continues to select his favourite classics from The Great American Songbook. For the jazz loving Knight, it was around nine years old as he turned the radio dial, trying to tune in to the American Forces Network broadcasts coming out of Germany. When he did, what he found there started a life-long love affair with music of Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra - and it's these four artists that dominate tonight's edition'.
