Peter Meechan

Composer Peter Meechan is Musical Associate at Foden's Band; he talks to Frank Renton about a recent CD of his music, including a major work, The Legend of King Arthur.

New Generation composer Peter Meechan's music features in the libraries of ensembles ranging from Foden's and the Black Dyke Bands, The Band of the Coldstream Guards and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Concert Orchestra to Canadian trumpet star Jens Lindemann. He holds the post of Musical Associate at Foden's Band and tonight he talks to Frank Renton tonight about his growing international reputation, his admiration for the music of Edward Gregson and the recent CD of his music which includes a major new work, The Legend of King Arthur.
