Comedy Legends Week: Michael Palin
Monty Python member and national treasure Michael Palin joins Shaun in the studio, Arthur Smith does Song of Praise, and there is part two of an in-depth interview with Dave Grohl.
Michael Palin, Monty Python member, actor, writer, and national treasure, joins shaun live in the studio to talk about life, love, travel and comedy... there's no-one more legendary than a Python!
Comic genius Arthur Smith also takes part in the mirth by doing the show's most infamous feature Song of Praise
Plus there's the second part of an in-depth interview with Dave Grohl. The Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman talks about the release of his new project, a documentary film, directed by Dave, about the history of Los Angeles recording studio Sound City Studios. Grohl recorded the album Nevermind there with Nirvana and was inspired to create the documentary after he purchased several items from it, including the Neve 8028 analog mixing console, when the studio closed in 2011.
Also, has a song wiggled its way into your tired brain overnight? Don't fret! It's only an Earworm. Shaun can provide immediate relief and release from that little beastie of a tune rattling around your head and, who knows, he just might pick yours to play if you share it with him this morning.
And there's up-to-the minute music news courtesy of news horse (and former Menswear drummer) Matt Everitt, while Shaun keeps listeners apprised of the day's lighter news stories and occasional ridiculousness.
