ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Symphony Orchestra Live

Katie Derham presents a live concert by the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Symphony Orchestra: music by Satie and Poulenc with pianist Pascal Roge. Plus a lullaby by Oliver Knussen and Dvorak's Water Goblin.

Live from the Maida Vale studios in London, the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Symphony Orchestra and conductor Jean Deroyer perform a concert of French music.
The soloist in Poulenc's Concert Champetre is Pascal RogΓ©, who also performs and talks about solo piano music by both Poulenc and Satie.
After the concert, the world premiere, recorded last month, of Malcolm Hayes' Byzantium with the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ SO conducted by Garry Walker, and a piano lullaby by Oliver Knussen. The afternoon closes with the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ SO under its chief conductor Jiri Belohlavek in music from his homeland: Dvorak's sinister symphonic poem The Water Goblin.
