EHIC cards- What they do and how to get one
Here at Rip Off Britain we don’t want you to pay for something you can get for nothing.
The European Health Insurance card (EHIC) is an essential card for anyone travelling abroad in Europe.
It’s important because it lets you get state healthcare at a reduced cost and sometimes for free. It is designed to cover the costs of your treatment meaning you can finish your holiday and return home as planned.
You can apply for a free EHICΒ online via the official or you can get a form from your post office. Alternatively you can call the EHIC application service on 0845 606 2030.Μύ
Whichever way you decide to get one, you DON’T have to pay a penny, so be wary of anyone asking you to do so.
There is everything you need to know about the EHIC on the official .
