The Science Behind Xmas: Keaveny and Coxy

Professor Brian Cox joins Shaun for a special programme of silliness and science that reaches for the stars - literally.

Professor Brian Cox usually joins Shaun on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music each Wednesday for a weekly science chat. He's been doing this for years, before he became the World's most eminent scientist. As a special Christmas treat he joins Shaun in the studio to chat about the skies, the stars, and the science stories of the year.

Also, as it is Christmas Day, we'll be looking at the science of Father Christmas flying around the world in one night. Shaun and Brian will attempt to create a formula that explains the speed the poor man will have to fly at to deliver all those presents on time.

Plus, we'll have a keyboard on standby in case he wants to revive his pre science career as the keyboard player in D:Ream. Will Shaun be able to persuade him to play the riff to 'Things Can Only Get Better'? And what will Brian make if Shaun's Cheddar Cheese song?

Add to this Shaun's usual kicking playlist, and the odd festive treat from the likes of Wizzard, The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl

Warning: This show contains silliness.
