Scorzayzee and the S-Word

Nottingham rapper Scorzayzee talks to childhood friend MistaJam about his battle with schizophrenia.

Nottingham rapper Scorzayzee talks to childhood friend MistaJam about his battle with schizophrenia. Hear Jam return home to the community recording studio where they first met as teenagers. Scorz went on to become one of the most respected MCs in the country with tracks like 'Crepes' and 'Great Britain'. Then he disappeared.

The explanation was simple enough - "a satellite TV subscription and illegal substances day and night, well one illegal substance". Shut away from the world he started to suffer hallucinations, paranoia and became more and more withdrawn. He was diagnosed with psychosis and schizophrenia, a disorder that affects more than 220,000 people in the UK.

Hear Scorzayzee chat to MistaJam in depth about his double battle to beat the disorder and his addiction to smoking weed. And expect to hear from other young people also affected by psychosis and how they relate to what Scorzayzee's been through.
