Griff Rhys Jones interview

Jamie introduces the world of jazz to Welsh comedian, actor and jazz novice Griff Rhys Jones, who has expressed a desire to learn more.

Jamie Cullum plays an hour of jazz music ranging from its heritage to its future.

A while ago at Radio 2, Jamie met the Welsh comedian and actor Griff Rhys Jones, who revealed that he was a jazz fan but would love to learn more. So, this week, the pair have got together to introduce Griff properly to the genre.

Griff talks about the jazz he already loves, such as Coleman Hawkins and Duke Ellington, whilst shares some surprise recommendations for a jazz beginner.
