Old dogs, e-cards and biscuits for cheese

Author Anthony Horowitz tells about the end of the world, National Theatre director Nicholas Hytner chatted about People: one's the subject of a new book, the other a new play.

Creator of TV drama Foyle's War, writer Anthony Horowitz told Graham all about his latest novel Oblivion. He also revealed he's writing a sequel to his Sherlock Holmes' novel The House of Silk, how he's working on the script for the new Tintin movie, and what the original title of Midsomer Murders was - Barnaby if you're interested.
Later, Director of The National Theatre, Sir Nicholas Hytner, chatted about working with Alan Bennett, why taking risks in art is so vital and his plans for the NT's 50th anniversary next year - they're big, again if you're interested.
In Grill Graham, Maria McErlane shared her views on old dogs vs. new puppies and the value of e-cards at Christmas time. And, over in I Can't Believe It's Not Better corner, Liam in Garforth chose a stinker called Cause I'm Blonde by Julie Brown. Unlike last week's choice - Gilbert O'Sullivan - the nation couldn't wait for it to end.
