Episode 9
Jools is joined by Sinead O'Connor, who performs songs from her ninth studio album. Also featuring Tame Impala, Biffy Clyro, Lau, Courtney Pine and Mud Morganfield.
Joining Jools is Sinead O'Connor with songs from her recent album How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?. This is her ninth studio album in a career spanning 25 years and was described by The Observer as 'the high priestess of pop has recovered her mojo'. Also on the show is Tame Impala, the project of Australian-born, Paris-based multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, whose second album Lonerism scored them their chart breakthrough.
Two acts from Scotland are on the show. Chamber-folk trio Lau brings some music from their recent album Race The Loser and Kilmanock's tattoo-rockers Biffy Clyro return, debuting songs from their upcoming sixth album Opposites. From Chicago, Muddy Waters' son Mud Morganfield is in the studio with a couple of jams from his Son of a Seventh Son debut.
Finally, Courtney Pine makes a welcome return to the show to perform selections from his House of Legends collection, which sees him celebrate his Caribbean roots with a variety of merengue, ska, mento and calypso numbers.
