Zainab resolves to change her ways in an attempt to win back her family's trust, while Syed is left alone to make one of the toughest decisions of his life.
Kim’s keeping everything in cool bags until her new fridge is delivered. Ray tells Kim mice chewed through the cooker cable. Environmental Health Officer Matthew Grindlay visits; a customer’s complained about mouse droppings on their breakfast plate. Kim directs him to the café, she bought the breakfasts there. Grindlay soon returns and a fuming Denise looks on as Kim’s interrogated about her questionable food hygiene standards. When a mousetrap springs, Grindlay shuts down the B&B kitchen. Kim storms off just as her fridge finally arrives.
AJ provokes Zainab, hoping she’ll break her pact. Syed tells the family Amira wants Yasmin to live with her. To Tamwar’s disgust Masood insists it’s Syed’s decision. Recognising how hard it was for Zainab not to interfere, Masood reassures her they won’t lose Yasmin. Amira insists Syed talks to Christian before making a decision but when Syed tells Christian he wants them to be a family again Christian walks away. Syed texts Christian inviting him to dinner. Miserable, he tells Amira Yasmin’s all hers.
Lola quizzes Phil and Sharon about their interview. Billy suggests buying something for Lexi; Lola rejects Phil’s money in favour of going to the charity shop. Billy feels side-lined when Lola takes Sharon to her parenting class then has lunch with her and Phil.
Kat and Alfie are elated, Tommy slept through the night. Their attempts to sneak back to bed are repeatedly thwarted. The Branning brothers invite Alfie to a poker game. They think Alfie must be on a promise and Kat confirms it. Kat tells Alfie she’s going to arrange something romantic for the following day. Kat receives a text from her lover ‘He can’t make you happy like I can’.
Roxy’s resorted to wearing earplugs to block out Fatboy’s music and jumps at the chance to babysit Scarlett.
