Fun afloat! Aboard the aircraft carrier HMS Indefatigable. With Jimmy Edwards, Dick Bentley and Joy Nichols. From June 1953.

Fun afloat! - aboard a British aircraft carrier.

HMS Indefatigable was launched in December 1942 and joined the British Pacific Fleet in 1945, where she received superficial damage from a kamikaze hit.

The vessel became a training carrier from 1950 and was broken up in 1956.

Writers Frank Muir and Dennis Norden both served in the RAF during the Second World War, so their understanding of military humour stood them in good stead to write the script for this outing.
