On the eve of the US Presidential Election, Russell looks at some of the ways the White House and its incumbents have found their way into popular music over the decades.

There's a salutary warning to Messrs Obama and Romney, from Eydie Gorm茅: You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You. Then mentions of past elections in Whiteman's Rhythm Boys' Wa-Da-Da, and Irving Aaronson's Crazy Words, Crazy Tune lead to a famous popular song written by a Vice President (It's All In The Game based on Charles Dawes' Melody in A Major).

After a diversion about another song - It's All In The Mind - we hear the sarcastic We'd Like To Thank You, Herbert Hoover from the show Annie. F D R Jones and a song in 'tribute' to one of Roosevelt's projects - The W P A - both involve The Mills Brothers; before Russell shoehorns in more acronyms with That Certain Party (T.C.P.) and I'll See You In C.U.B.A.

Then back, via George M Cohan, to Presidential matters, leading to Matt Dennis and Give Her A Kiss. A rare song, A White House Of Our Own, is displayed for its neat lyric after which Ella Fitzgerald concludes matters with her version of Cry Me A River.
