Clare English hears about The Static and The Incredible Adventures of See Thru Sam, two plays which explore the world of 15-year-old boys, and a new African-themed tartan.
A bit like a bus, you wait for a good teenage superhero to come along, and 2 come at once! Teenagers are not often the central characters in theatre, but The Static and The Incredible Adventures of See Thru Sam address this. Both plays enter the world of 15 year old boys, complete with teenage angst, special friendships, new relationships...and super powers!
Music of Strangers mixes Roma and Scottish music & dance, giving us an insight into the struggles faced by the 2000 strong Roma community in Govanhill.
And a brand new tartan with an African twist...Karibu Scotland, a group set up by and for African women now settled in Glasgow, turn their hand to fashion.
