Carole is with the new allotment holders of Craigclowan, Bridge of Earn, Perthshire. They have taken over an abandoned school garden to create new allotments. It has been a labour of love as the site is exposed and on a slope. Carole has been to take a look at how well the new allotment is progressing and offers some advice about why their vegetables are not doing so well. Carole analyses why their carrots do not germinate and makes some suggestions about what they could grow in their new polytunnel over winter.

Meanwhile, Jim is letting the train take the strain as he travels up and down the Ayrshire line looking at how the Adopt a Station initiative has steamed ahead. More than 100 stations have been adopted by volunteer gardeners who have brightened commuters' journeys with their floral displays.
